- Opening Day - Tuesday, May 1, 2007
The official opening day of the marina. Water will be turned on.
- Clean Up Day - Saturday, May 19, 2007 10:00am - ?
There's plenty to do, so show up ready to work (or at least convincingly
look like you are working). Last year was a big success and everyone did
a great job getting the marina into tip-top shape. This year we want to do
some power washing, cleaning, raking, and pruning. We are asking everyone
to come and volunteer their time and energy to the effort. For those of you
that have your own power washer, it would be great if you could bring it
and help clean up your own dock and perhaps your neighbor's. The
Harbormaster will be in charge of the overall project, so please coordinate
with her when you arrive. Feel free to bring your favorite garden tools
and lend a hand in sprucing up the grounds.
- Open House - Saturday, June 2, 2007 11:00 - 5:00
Live music, food. Featuring (in the water and out) vintage yachts,
runabouts and hydroplanes. Admission is free. Guests include the Appledore
folks and the Power Squadron. But that's not all! We are raffling off a
giant cake as well! (Ask Kathi about it - I haven't a clue)
- Au Gres Pirate Festival - Saturday, August 4, 2007
Au Gres
will host it's first Pirate Festival. Joe, Art, Bob, and a few others in
the marina live up in Au Gres, and we would like to invite the boaters at
Wheeler Landing to come on up for this new festival that will be held at
the State Dock in Au Gres. There is plenty of water for all motor vessels
to navigate the river. Look for more information on the festival later this
summer, or contact Scott Ososki at (989) 876-7144 in Au Gres for details.
