Season Open, May 1st

Season Open is May 1st - Make sure you contact the Harbormaster upon your arrival. The Harbormaster will need to ensure that Wheeler Landing has all the necessary information on you including insurance.

All shareholders are responsible for supplying Wheeler Landing with insurance documents showing current coverage on each and every dock owned. Shareholders are required to obtain insurance information from all Lessees - no exceptions - before the boat is docked. Insurance documents should specifically name Wheeler Landing Yacht Harbor (or Club). For your convenience, you can fax your documents in (see Contact Us)

Early - In

All the above said, there are situations where people need a place to park before the official season open. While we strongly encourage you to not put yourself in a position to need dockage at WLYH prior to May 1st, we do have the ability to provide some limited accommodations for people stuck in that situation.

After April 18th, limited and temporary dockage can be arranged with the Harbormaster. The usual amenities are generally not available pre-season (eg: water, possibly electricity, clubhouse usage, etc), and there is a lot of work going on around the harbor, so the Harbormaster will direct you to the safest location possible for your boat. Be advised that although it's the safest location we can offer, we still have maintenance crews working and barges being moved around, so there is an increased potential for damage. We will of course work hard to prevent that from happening, but it's something you should be aware of so you can decide whether you come into WLYH before May 1st or not.

Again, the Harbormaster must be contacted and a temporary dock arranged prior to tying up. It is doubtful that you will be able to dock at your own slip, as we are going to try and park boats out of the way of maintenance. You will still need to provide your insurance, and provide the Harbormaster with good current contact information in the event we need to have your boat moved, and we need to have your cooperation in moving boats when necessary.

You can call the Harbormaster upon your arrival at WLYH’s phone number (see Contact Us).
